Blog: Your Online Health Journal!
bar

Blog : Taking an active role in your health care can help you get the best care possible. One way to do this is to document your Hip Resurfacing experience from the beginning. At HipResurfacingInfo.com, we offer each member a free online journal called a Blog. You can decide whether to share your experiences with others or to keep it private. You can include photos, videos and notes, daily/weekly etc.

It's important to Document Your Experience:

jpg Begin your documentation as soon as you are a member. We often hear those who have had the surgery that they regret not having documented, both in words and video, the pain and struggle with mobility they had before their HR surgery. It is hard to compare if you only have pictures after the surgery.

jpg Some aren't comfortable sharing their feelings, but often this is one of the greatest connecters for those with hip pain. It is hard for others to really understand the upset, pain and frustration that often accompanies this complicated issue. It may surprise you to see how much support and appreciation you can get from this community if you show some of your feelings - including the joy of walking again without pain!

jpgPhotos and Videos add so much to others understanding of you and your experiences. As mentioned above, be sure to get film of your walking before your surgery...not just after!

jpg Each person who goes through this experience comes out the other end with incrediblly valuable knowledge that may seem simple, but each bit can make the difference between a good and a not so good experience. Please share if you find a nifty way to scratch your back, to wearing a sarong instead of trousers, how you got your TEDS on in the morning!

jpg X-rays we are collecting before and after X-rays from members so we can have an X-Ray library - please share yours. If you need any editing before posting send the admin@hipresurfacinginfo.com and we'll take care of you the editing for you!
