Steven A. Stuchin, MD

Dr. Stuchin is Director of Orthopaedic Surgery at New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases and Chief of the Arthritis Management Service. He is a consultant to the United States Food and Drug Administration Orthopaedic Rehabilitation Panel. He has served as a consultant to the National Institute of Health.

He has been listed regularly as one of the Best Doctors in New York Magazine. He serves on the editorial board of several orthopaedic and biomedical journals. He has written eight book chapters and forty seven scientific publications in the fields of Arthritis Surgery, Hip and Knee Replacement, and Hand Wrist and Elbow Surgery. He is the recipient of numerous private and industry grants and honors including the Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation Research Grant, and the Vohs Quality Award.

His current research interests include: the design and evaluation of total hip and knee replacements, enhanced minimally invasive surgical techniques, advancing the coordinated care of patients with rheumatoid and other inflammatory forms of arthritis, and improving surgical techniques in problems of the hand wrist and elbow.
